Looking down the road ahead, I see some great House of Blues Radio Hours coming up. The future is bright with blues! Lemme know who you'd like to hear on the show some day.
If you're looking for stuff we've already played, check our archives.
| Mar 13-14, 2010 | Tommy Castro hunkers in the blockhouse with Elwood to talk about his record, HARD BELIEVER, and the tremendous body of music he’s given us. Also, you will hear music from his friends, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Elvin Bishop, and Derek Trucks. And we will hear from a brand new old school soul diva, Missy Anderson. We recently played the premiere album from the Toler/Townsend Band. "Dangerous" Dan Toler has hooked up with Catbone Music and Speed Demon Picks to create a line of exclusive stainless steel guitar picks. This week, five lucky blues brethren or soul sisters out there can win their own guitar pick package, just by registering. Right here on my website. | | | Mar 20-21, 2010 | Pete Special and Elwood have been pals since they first met in Chicago during the shooting of THE BLUES BROTHERS movie. Pete was recorded live, exclusively for the Radio Hour, at a recent performance for Levon Helm’s legendary concert series, the Midnight Ramble. You will hear some of that (the entire concert can be heard right here through the miracle of the Internet). Also, tunes from his CD, BLUE TELEPHONE (available through Pete’s website petespecialmusic.com), from his big band soul revue Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows, and The Band (Pete has played with them as well). Plus some Howlin’ Wolf for you, and new music from harmonica maestro R.J. Mischo. |
