Nathan James and Ben Hernandez Nathan James and Ben Hernandez grew up together in southern California, and bonded over a common love of the blues. They started playing: Nathan on guitar and percussion, and Ben on everything else – including harmonica, jug, washtub bass, and spoons. A 21st century version of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, they wound up winning best duo at the 2007 International Blues Challenge. Nathan and Ben's new CD, Hollerin'is a tasty stew of jug band, blues, stomps, and even some gospel . |
