Doug Cox is a Canadian slide player.  Salil Bhatt is a classically-trained Indian musician who plays an instrument that his family invented, called a Satvik Veena.  It is sort of a cross between a twelve-string guitar, a dobro, and a sitar. 

After a couple years of playing together, and exploring each other’s styles, Cox and Bhatt collaborated on an East meets West blues album.  Their latest record is Slide to Freedom 2, a sequel to their 2007 album.
