Blues growler Omar Kent Dykes was born in McComb Mississippi, birthplace of Bo Diddley.  After cutting his teeth in the local juke joins he moved to Austin, Texas, where he has pretty much been ever since. 
With the success of his band, Omar and the Howlers, he became a fixture on the Austin blues scene. 

Omar’s new CD is called BIG TOWN PLAYBOY, and features such luminaries as Jimmie Vaughan, Lazy Lester, James Cotton, and Lou Ann Barton.
