Jason Ricci came to the blues out of the punk rock scene in Maine.  On a quest, he took his harmonica to Holly Springs, Mississippi and spent a year playing with and listening to Junior Kimbrough, along with R.L. Burnside and his sons and grandsons. 

In 2002 he formed Jason Ricci and New Blood, putting together all the elements that go into his sound – metal, punk, jam band, rock, and at the heart of it all – juke joint blues.  Their new CD is called DONE WITH THE DEVIL.
