Candye Kane was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2008.  She did not think she was going to make it.  Plus, being a blues singer she did not have what we like to call medical insurance.  Fortunately, she has a wide circle of friends, fans, and colleagues.  They came through for her with a series of benefit fund-raisers. 

Cancer-free, Candye went back into the studio, and is now out on the road, bringing us the big brassy blues she delivers so well.  The new CD is called SUPERHERO.
