Jim Byrnes hails from St. Louis, Missouri, but he has made Vancouver his home since the mid-seventies.  You might know the man from television:  he played a recurring role in the series Wise Guys, and Highlander, and hosted his own variety show, The Jim Byrnes Show.

But Jim Byrnes is best known in Vancouver and Canada as a roots music player, who incorporates gospel, rockabilly, rhythm and blues, gutbucket, and slide playing into his own distinctive style.  His latest is called MY WALKING STICK.
