Dangerous Dan Toler is a guitar player who came up in the rock world gigging with Dickie Betts.  Through that, he wound up becoming an official Allman Brother, then did two records with the Gregg Allman Band.  It was on tour with Gregg when he first met vocalist and songwriter Johnny Townsend, who was singing with the band.

The two hit it off.  And they decided to start their own band, and do their own music. With their new self-titled album, the Toler Townsend Band is kicking it off right.
