Eric Bibb "Turning Pages" (March 6-7, 2010)

Eric Bibb
"Turning Pages"
Booker's Guitar
Telarc Records

As the son of folksinger Leon Bibb, Eric Bibb was raised around acoustic music and musicians. He grew up to become a star of roots music in his own right. But he has not let a career of performing and recording affect his ability to be moved and astonished.

After a gig in London, he was approached by a fan carrying a guitar case.Inside the case was a National steel guitar that had once been owned by Delta blues legend, Bukka White.Holding the guitar was an intoxicating experience for Eric Bibb, inspiring first a song about the guitar, and finally an entire album of songs called Booker's Guitar that became, in his words, a "handmade tribute to the music and musicians of a bygone era."
