Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal

At the forefront of American roots music for over forty years, Taj Mahal has one foot in the Blues and the other in experimentation.  Whether it's Reggae, African music, Ragtime, Jazz or Hawaiian music, Taj has been sharing his eclectic tastes with the record-buying public since 1967.  There is no one who represents Roots and Blues better than Taj Mahal and we are proud to be featuring this great artist as headliner at The Boulder Theatre on our first night.  We hope there's a big turn-out to help celebrate his 70th birthday!

Keb' Mo'

Headlining the Boulder Theatre on Saturday night is the one and only Keb' Mo'.  A protégé of Taj Mahal, Keb' uses The Blues as a jumping off point for his soulful and rhythmic sound. Keb' is one of our greatest songwriters.  His masterful turn of the phrase matched with his rich, warm voice and commanding stage presence, makes Keb' Mo' a must-see artist. His music walks a balance between Country Blues and R&B. Take a look into the future of Roots and Blues music as this Grammy-award winning artist shares his vast repertoire of songs.

Bob Margolin

“Steady Rollin’ ” Bob Margolin started playing guitar in 1964 and began playing in Rock bands right away. Inspired by Chuck Berry, he followed his path back to the Blues.

Anders Osborne

Anders Osborne is among the most original and visionary musicians performing today; often compared to Townes Van Zandt, Bruce Springsteen and Van Morrison.

Fredericks Brown ft. Deva Mahal

New Zealand's Fredericks Brown combines rich storytelling with a unique blend of Blues, Soul, and native rhythms.  Featuring the dynamic vocals of Deva Mahal, daughter of legendary Blues-man Taj Mahal.

Hope Waits

Up-and-coming Blues belter Hope Waits has really lived the Blues.  Growing up the seventh of twelve children in rural Louisiana, she ran away from home as a teenager.  Since then, she has honed her skills as a singer and songwriter, winning audiences over with her sultry, blues-drenched voice.

Treasa Levasseur

Treasa Levasseur Funny, ballsy, the type of old-school dame who can get away with wearing a three-piece suit and hold her own with the gents.

Musketeer Gripweed

Colorado funksters Musketeer Gripweed have earned a dedicated following with their homegrown mix of American roots music.  Their energetic stage show is not to be missed!
