This Weekend On The BluesMobile Radio Hour
On The AIr...

May 11 - 12 Hot Tuna
Hot Tuna is back with a great CD, STEADY AS SHE GOES. Believe it or not, it’s their first new record in about twenty years. Catch the Tuna at their hottest at the Boulder Roots and Blues Summit in Boulder Colorado May 17th and 18th. And catch Jorma with Elwood next time. He has his guitar, and will perform some music – live.
Next Weekend...
May 18 - 19 Rising Stars
Next time in the Bluesmobile, Elwood pays tribute to some blues players who really went somewhere, even though they seemed to come out of nowhere. Susan Tedeschi, Homemade Jamz, James Hunter, and a sneak peak at a couple newcomers who might be the rising stars of tomorrow, Quinn Sullivan and Bex Marshall.
Now Live on the Stream...
From May 5 - 6 James Hunter
Elwood spins tunes from some practitioners of neo-soul music in the Bluesmobile, including Amy Winehouse, Raphael Saddiq, and Ray LaMontagne. Then he spends some quality time with British soul man James Hunter, whose new album, MINUTE BY MINUTE, was produced by Gabe Roth, the genius who founded Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. A harder-edged James Hunter will be heard, along with the Dap Kings, and James Hunter vocal hero Jackie Wilson. Some great gospel-tinged music to round things out, with soulful Nashville foursome, The McCrary Sisters.
