Elwood’s Blues Breaker: Kim Nalley “Ferguson Blues”
San Francisco based Kim Nalley is a jazz and blues singer, with a three and a half octave vocal range. She has performed George Gershwin tunes with the San Francisco Symphony, jumped and jived with the Johnny Nocturne Band, and put together a sterling tribute to the great Nina Simone. This time, she returns to her blues roots with her album BLUES PEOPLE. There’s a bit of Nina Simone anger and outrage, a bit of topical and political lyrics. But all Kim Nalley. Here is… “Ferguson Blues.”
