Peter Wolf: Blues Breaker
Peter Wolf has had an amazing life and career. He grew up in New York and hung out at the Apollo Theatre. He went on to be a disc jockey in Boston, back in the day when deejays had to know something about the music they played. As a boy, his babysitter was painter Norman Rockwell, as a young man, he got evicted by a roommate, future director David Lynch. He was going to be a painter until he jumped up to sing with a blues band at a bar, and that was that. He was married to Faye Dunaway… was lead singer for the J Geils Band, and had a string of records on his own. As the music scene became more pop, Peter Wolf became more soul. His latest release, A CURE FOR LONELINESS, finds him still mining the rhythm and blues vein, but dipping into country as well. It’s a passionate look back on life, and love. Here he asks the musical question, “How Do You Know?”
